About Us

I should just call this page, "About Me". This project began when I realized that my life verse - that passage of Biblical scripture that describes your call or means the most to you - wasn't the Scripture that says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart." I trust God and it's a great couple of verses, but it's not really me.

My life has been the Parable of the Talents. I'm an overachiever, because I've always believed that God never gives us a talent to be wasted. I've often felt more like a kid on a merry-go-round than an adult "running for the prize". Still, I want to multiply my talents and not be left in a place where there's "gnashing of teeth", where the master sent the servant who buried his talents.

I discovered my life verse and realized that I wanted to learn to use my talents successfully. How can I find my talents? How do I know how God wants me to use them? What is money and how can I use it faithfully? How can I overcome fear? How can I balance my God-given passion with my God-given family responsibilities?

These questions and many others formed the basis for the questions I've asked numerous Christian millionaires who've generously shared their time with me.

I record these interviews to preserve the accuracy of the quotes (as most journalistic types do these days) and enjoy relistening to them as I work. I get so psyched up when one talks about how she jumps out of bed every morning or another finances Christian businesses in third world countries.

Wow! I dream of living a passionate and fulfilling life. I'm prayerfully approaching that day.

None of this is a get-rich-quick scheme. I don't believe in them. I don't play the lotto. I don't believe God wants everyone to be a millionaire. (I do think that many of us could be wealthier, but we spend our money unwisely.)

I do believe that God has a special call on my life, and if I live it, I will feel like a million bucks whether or not my bank account boasts that money.

Currently, I write from home for parenting publications, teen magazines, and painting journals. I love what I do, because I meet such neat people and learn so much with each interview. I've learned things that improved my parenting skills and enabled my husband to build his residential painting company.
